Overview
Housing Assistance is the Regional Administrator Agency (RAA) for Section 8 vouchers, which provides financial assistance to low-income tenants. We manage over 1,000 Section 8 vouchers on the Cape and work closely with the individual town housing authorities that manage the remaining vouchers.
Section 8 is an essential safety net, helping to provide safe, stable, and decent housing for the elderly, disabled, and other tenants who qualify for Section 8 assistance.
How to Apply
- Effective January 13, 2025, EOHLC has closed its Housing Choice Voucher Program/Section 8 mobile voucher waiting list until further notice. Applications with a postmark, email, fax, or drop-off date of January 13th or later will not be accepted either by EOHLC or Housing Assistance.
- To apply for Section 8 with local housing authorities, please visit the Massachusetts Centralized Waitlist.
