Housing Assistance monitors 250+ affordable units across the Cape and Islands. We are responsible for enforcing the Affordability Requirements of homeownership projects pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40B (MGL c. 40B). It is not intended to replace or supersede any portion of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40B, 760 CMR 56.00, or the Department of Housing and Community Development’s Comprehensive Permit Guidelines (the “40B Guidelines”), any provisions of the Regulatory Agreement for a specific 40B Project, or the applicable Monitoring Agreement.
