HAC Walk for Hope

Housing Assistance’s 3rd Annual Walk for Hope on June 26th will give you the opportunity to walk to help our neighbors most in need access safe, stable housing on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Whether you’re walking as an individual or with a team, you’ll be offering hope with every step you take! Now more than ever, housing is the foundation to keep our community safe, happy, and healthy.

You will be giving hope to our most vulnerable neighbors needing access to critical housing services during these uncertain times. By walking or donating, you will help support our housing programs and services which include homeless prevention, homeless outreach, operating four family shelters, creating more affordable and attainable housing, and helping over 5,000 households per year secure the safe, stable housing they need to live and thrive on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Walk for Hope Details

Who can walk? Anyone! This is a great event for anyone who wants to make a meaningful difference in our community. If you believe housing is vital to healthy families, healthy neighborhoods, and a healthy community, then the Walk for Hope is for you!

You set the route! Because of concerns with COVID-19, this year’s Walk for Hope will remain a virtual one. That means, you can walk wherever you want — on a treadmill, around your neighborhood, along the beach, on a bike path, or in a park. Last year, we had people walking throughout Cape Cod and as far away as New Hampshire and Arizona.

You can walk in the weeks and days leading up to the event as well as the event day itself.

Walk with a team! Connect with friends, family and colleagues who share your passion for giving back and helping others by starting a team or joining one. Together, you’ll create more awareness to the need for more safe, stable housing in our region while showing what it truly means to be a community.

Registration for the Walk for Hope is now open. You can collect offline donations through our Walk for Hope Pledge form by clicking the button below.

Help Us Surpass Last Year’s Totals!

The pandemic isn’t going anywhere and neither is the need for safe, stable housing! Last year, our staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and supporters stepped up to the challenge, raising over $45,000 in support of our mission. This year, you can help us reach our $80,000 fundraising goal and give hope AND housing to our neighbors most in need.
