This month, the Cape Cod Commission will host two informational webinars focused on funding opportunities that will be available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Through ARPA, the U.S. Economic Development Agency (EDA) was allocated $3 billion in supplemental funding to assist communities recovering from the economic impacts of Covid-19 and to help build resilience to future economic disruptions.
The Commission is inviting potential applicants on Cape Cod to join a webinar to learn more about ARPA on Thursday, September 16 at 1 pm or on Tuesday, September 21 at 3:30 pm. Both webinars will follow the same format so you should attend the one which best fits your schedule.
ARPA funding is available via the following six innovative challenges:
- Build Back Better Regional Challenge
- Good Jobs Challenge
- Economic Adjustment Assistance
- Indigenous Communities
- Travel, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation
- Statewide Planning, Research, and Networks
At each webinar, Commission staff will provide program summaries and participants will have the ability to ask questions about program details and share project ideas with Commission staff and other attendees, creating opportunities for collaborative partnerships in the region.
If you are unable to attend a webinar but would like to connect with Commission staff on a possible project and application, please reach out to Jennifer Clinton, Community Development Planner, at jclinton@capecodcommission.org.
