First-time homebuyers interested in becoming a homeowner are invited to submit an application for an affordable housing lottery for 6 affordable homes being built as part of The Residences at Nemasket River in Lakeville.

Consisting of 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, the affordable homes are listed at $234,500. In order to qualify, applicants must be first-time homebuyers, meet income-eligibility requirements, and have assets less than $75,000. To download an application, click the button below.


Applications can also be obtained in-person at Middleborough Housing Authority at 8 Benton Street; Lakeville Public Library at 4 Precinct Street; and Middleborough Public Library at 102 North Main Street.

The Middleborough Housing Authority, which is the lottery agent for the six affordable homes, will be holding two virtual information sessions on the new affordable homes and the lottery application process on Thursday, January 6 at 2 pm and Tuesday, January 11 at 6 pm.

Completed applications should be delivered to Middleborough Housing Authority at 8 Benton Street, Middleboro, MA 02346. The deadline to submit an application is Thursday, February 10 at 2 pm.

The affordable housing lottery is scheduled for Thursday, March 3.
