Upcoming Housing Advocacy Trainings and Events

September 6, 2022

This fall, commit to taking one action to address the housing crisis!

As a busy Cape Cod summer comes to a close, it’s time to start thinking about the issues that face us year-round. We’re headed into Fall Town Meeting Season, Housing Assistance and our Housing to Protect Cape Cod partners are formally launching our platform, and we’ve got lots of tools to help you be informed and feel confident about engaging in advocacy to address the underlying housing crisis that impacts us all.

Housing to Protect Cape Cod – Official Launch and Summit

November 3rd at the Cape Codder, Hyannis

Everyone knows how extreme the housing crisis is. It’s time to take ACTION.

Solving the Cape’s housing crisis is achievable – with a comprehensive strategy.  Join us to hear from businesses, workers and a nationally respected economist, and we’ll unveil a vision and movement to solve the Cape’s housing crisis at the official launch of Housing to Protect Cape Cod (HPCC).

At the summit on November 3rd, we’ll release our commissioned report on the intersection of the Cape’s economy and housing strategy: where we are, where we’re headed if we stay with the same approach, and where we could go by banding together now for change.

Nationally respected economist Tim Cornwell of The Concord Group will reveal alarming new data about recent displacement of locals, economic trends and projections factoring in this displacement, and where we should be focusing our efforts as a community.
