Leased Housing Inspector

A part-time position is available to inspect homes occupied by tenants receiving rental assistance to ensure units comply with HUD’s Housing Quality Standards and any applicable state sanitary codes. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and attend training seminars as needed. A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained.

Case Manager (Hyannis Family Shelter)

Housing Assistance Corporation is currently hiring for a Case Manager at our family homeless shelter in Hyannis. This position will work directly with clients to identify housing barriers, assist with housing search activities, and complete required state documentation. From assessment to placement, the case manager will be responsible for assisting families with budgeting, monitoring completion of required tasks, and supporting efforts to secure long-term secure housing.

Qualified candidates will have experience working with homeless or low-income families, be team-oriented, and have experience identifying community resources. A bachelor’s degree in a human services field is a plus. This position will report to the Director of Scattered Sites.

Evening Support Staff

Our residential family shelter for women recovering from substance abuse and their children has openings for evening/overnight support staff for residential coverage. Qualified candidates will have experience working in or interest in working in recovery-focused environments and have day and weekend availability.

The ideal candidate must show they have working experience being creative, compassionate, computer literate, and detail oriented. Candidates need to be consistent and committed, This position will report to the Program Director. Compensation is $14.50 per hour.

Manager of Energy Department

Housing Assistance Corporation is seeking a candidate to manage its Energy Department. The Energy Department Manager is responsible for the management of state, federal, and utility-funded energy efficiency and weatherization and heating system programs. This includes planning, coordinating, and implementing all program business, staff supervision, and all other appropriate administrative duties while incorporating daily activities with the organization’s mission and guiding values. The Manager of the Energy Department will carry out all responsibilities within state, federal, and program administrators (utility) contract, guidelines, and policies.

A bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and sound computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and database programs) is required. The ideal candidate has significant experience in energy efficiency work with thorough knowledge of state/federal weatherization job performance requirements; Department of Energy materials standards and practices; and technical understanding of energy efficiencies, calculating savings, and heating system fundamentals. Some level of experience in the field of energy efficiency and conservation practices is preferred. BPI Certification and construction experience is a plus. At least two years of successful supervisory experience is recommended.

Intake Coordinator

The Intake Coordinator position is responsible for greeting Housing Assistance clients and visitors, evaluating service needs, and making referrals to appropriate programs. This position answers incoming phone calls and distributes all incoming correspondence; collects and enters client data into appropriate software systems; ensures that customer service practices are providing a positive experience and are aligned with company values; and provides triage and initial information about housing programs and referral services to clients.

Qualifications for this position include the ability to capture and enter client information in electronic databases, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to be compassionate, and the ability to interact with high-risk clients while being respectful and keeping appropriate boundaries. Basic knowledge regarding housing programs is required.

This position is full-time, benefit-eligible with access to health, retirement, and paid time off. The position requires the ability to work from 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Thursday; 9 AM to 5 PM on Friday; and a 1/2 day Saturday as part of a rotating 6-week schedule. This position reports to the Information and Client Services Manager.

Family Therapist

A full-time benefit eligible position exists to enhance the recovery potential of women in recovery and their children. The Family Therapist should have a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy with two years of substance abuse counseling experience. Independent level of licensure required (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).

The program needs someone who is interested in maintaining a trauma-informed treatment set of protocol for a residential facility that has functioned as a role model for 20 years. The ideal candidate must show they have working experience being creative, compassionate, computer literate, and good with children of all ages. The therapist will provide clinical family services through group and family therapy under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Program Director.

Housing Assistance Corporation is looking for support staff for our shelter in North Falmouth that serves homeless mothers and their children. Our shelter serves families who are experiencing homelessness and helps them to stabilize their housing situation. Qualified applicants will have an interest or experience working with families in crisis, be dependable and reliable, and be able to follow shelter procedures.

Various per diem weekends and night shifts are available in a 24/7 operation. Support staff report to the Shelter Director. The hourly rate is $13.

HAC is looking for support staff for nights, weekends, and holidays/per diem for our family homeless shelter located in Bourne. The shelter serves families who are experiencing homelessness and helps them to stabilize their housing situation.

Qualified applicants will have an interest or experience working with families in crisis; be dependable and reliable; and be able to follow shelter procedures. The following shifts are currently available:

  • Saturdays, 8 am-8 pm; Saturdays, noon-midnight
  • Sundays, 8 am-8 pm; Sundays, noon-midnight
  • Monday-Friday evening shifts, 4-8 pm and 4 pm-midnight
  • Holiday coverage
