Administrative Assistant to the CEO

Housing Assistance has a part-time position available to assist our Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this capacity, the administrative assistant will provide oversight of all logistical, project and administrative support to our CEO, including, but not limited to CEO support; research and preparation of presentations; Board coordination and support; travel logistics; event coordination and tactical organization of meetings; and special events and maintaining the CEO’s calendar.

The Administrative Assistant reports to the CEO and works closely with the CEO, the Senior Leadership Team, and the full organization as needed.

  • Self-motivated, team player who is excited to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and follow through in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external staff, clients, board and stakeholders.
  • Strong aptitude to see and manage varied projects and effectively coordinate across projects to ensure synergies are leveraged and projects are not dropped.
  • Attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
  •  Excellent writing skills.
  • Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce and internet skills are essential.
  • Resourceful, proactive, reliable, trustworthy, and assertive when necessary.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discrete manner.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated project or executive support experience (4+ years).

Temporary Child Service Assistant

A part-time, 25 hours per week, position exists to enhance the lives of children living with a parent in recovery from substance abuse disorders. Working at a Hyannis-based family residential treatment program, the Child Service Assistant is responsible for supporting the children’s portion of the family service plan. This position assists with providing staff coverage to the onsite Child Service Center for children under the age of 5 and provides direct care to children.

This position is a temporary position through December 31, 2020 with the possibility of extension.

The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. The pay rate is is $14.79 an hour.

A successful candidate will be someone who is detail orientated, organized, consistent, and compassionate. Experience working with children, a valid MA driver’s license, and ability to drive a 15-passenger van is required. The Child Services Assistant will work under supervision of the Child Services Coordinator and the Program Director.

Financial Assistance Specialist

Housing Assistance Corporation is currently hiring for the position of Financial Assistance Specialist. The primary role of this position is to engage with people who are requesting financial assistance through the agency to help address a housing crisis that is placing the household at risk of homelessness. This position supports various housing financial assistance programs, both state and privately funded.

This position will review household information to determine eligibility, meet with households to evaluate current housing status, liaison with vendors to arrange payment, and submit completed funding packets for supervisor approval. This position requires both the ability to engage successfully with families and attention to detail while auditing documentation.

Required skills for this position include the ability to perform math/accounting equations, ability to be extremely detail oriented, compassionate, consistent, and work as part of a team. Experience working with high risk individuals with a team in a case management system or information/referral system is a plus! This is a full-time hourly position. This position will report to the Family Services Supervisor. This is a grant funded position.

Shelter Support Staff

Housing Assistance is currently looking for support staff for days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays for our family homeless shelters in North Falmouth, Bourne and Hyannis. Our shelters serve families who are experiencing homelessness and help them to stabilize their housing situation.

Qualified applicants will have an interest or experience working with families in crisis, be dependable and reliable, and be able to follow shelter procedures. Support staff report to the Shelter Director.

Various shifts are available. The pay rate is $14.79/hour. Signing bonuses and stipends are available for a limited time
